Candy Covered Books
January 01, 2006

Hey Sugars,

Its been a whirlwind of a year. As we say goodbye to 2005 and hello to 2006, we at Candy Covered Books would like to take the moment and reflect on some of our favorite candy covered events of the year, thank you for all support and suggestions, plus remind you of how things work here at Candy Covered Books.

True to our beginnings in May 2004, we maintain the integrity, fun, and legitimacy of Candy Covered Books by featuring books that we found, like, and think you might like as well. At no circumstance do authors or publishing houses pay to be featured in our newsletter. Neither do we sell our list of subscribers to anyone.

Our newsletters, contests, and hosting is supported by readers like you who purchase a Candy Covered Book through our Amazon links. Every time you order a book through our links, we receive a small percentage of the sell from Amazon.com. We have recently also placed Google Ads in our right column and opened up the site for advertising opportunities that may serve as extra support.

This past year Candy Covered Books celebrated its one year launch and one year Newsletter anniversary. Through our newsletters, we continue to highlight the latest sweet reads, plus shed some light on sub-genres. Several new features were added to help you in your search for your next good read through our ever increasing resource of 900+ books and 4500+ reviews. Such features include Sorting by Genre, Date Entered, and switching between covers and titles.

Our Candy Covered Book Give Away Contest is also a sweet new feature this year. Where upon identifying the correct cover of the featured book, subscribers are treated to a random drawing.

I Shaved My Legs for This? by Theresa Alan, Holly Chamberlin, Marcia Evanick, Lisa Plumley

Before we forget, congratulations to last week's contest winners! Jilian and Sanjay. In this hot new Anthology, I Shaved My Legs for This?!, four fabulous Chick Lit authors delve into the blind date. Check out what the critics have to say. You just may want to pick up a copy for yourself.

With this new year, we hope you will continue to enjoy Candy Covered Books. We have several new features in the works, including Events, Search, and many more surprises. And as always, we look forward to delivering more sweet selections. So, if you like what you see, please continue to buy through our links and remember, your questions, suggestions, and comments are always welcome!

Here's to another year of fun and sweet reads!
